Anti-malarial medication should be administered as soon as possible, ideally within 1 hour, and according to the trust Malaria guidelines.</div><div style="font-family:'Segoe UI','Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;font-size:9pt;">&nbsp;</div><div style="font-family:'Segoe UI','Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;font-size:9pt;">An audit of all cases of malaria for 5 years in our trust showed there were significant delays in administration of antimalarial medication and frequent examples of the wrong antimalarial medication being administered. We subsequently undertook QI work including education, awareness raising, updated guidelines on EOLAS, and a new EPMA bundle for malaria. We would like to re-audit the last 4 months of care following the EPMA bundle going live earlier this year.</div><div style="font-family:'Segoe UI','Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;font-size:9pt;">&nbsp;</div><p style="margin: 0;">Aim: A project to improve the speed and accuracy of administration of anti-malarial medications to patients with<br>malaria in Barts Health NHS Trust.</p></div>
